HPSP Senior High Performing Athletes

13.09.18

Term 2 got off to a great start with the High Performing Student Athletes back in the EFM gym with a new strength and conditioning program. This term had a focus again on strength and conditioning as well as incorporating some Yoga sessions to bring in another type of training. All students really enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a few sessions with Jodi Sharam. When in the gym, students have been working through their specialised programs targeting their upper and lower body, core and endurance through the Train Heroic App.

Congratulations must go to Luke Wight for his efforts in the Australian Cycling Team. Luke recently competed in the 2018 UCI Junior Track World Championships in Switzerland. He came home with a Bronze Medal in the 4km Team Pursuit and also rode a personal best in the 3km Individual Pursuit, placing 14th out of 48 riders. We are very proud of Luke’s dedication and achievements in track cycling.
